SHISHAMO

SHISHAMO is a Japanese pop rock band formed in 2010, known for their catchy melodies and relatable lyrics. The name “Shishamo” derives from a type of fish, specifically the capelin, which is popular in Hokkaido, Japan. The band consists of four members: lead vocalist and guitarist Ayaka Tachikawa, guitarist and backing vocalist Masaki Shimizu, bassist and backing vocalist Shiori Yamao, and drummer and backing vocalist Hina Yomiuri. They gained popularity through their energetic performances and songs that often explore themes of youth, love, and everyday experiences.
