Galette des Rois

Galette des Rois, also known as the King’s Cake, is a traditional French pastry associated with the celebration of Epiphany, which occurs on January 6th. This cake is typically made of puff pastry filled with a rich almond cream called frangipane. In addition to its delicious taste, the galette des rois often contains a hidden figurine, known as a “feve.” The person who finds the feve in their slice is crowned king or queen for the day and is often expected to host the next celebration. The galette is popular throughout France, with variations in different regions, and is enjoyed both at home and in bakeries during the festive season.
