Climate Change

Climate change refers to significant and lasting changes in the average temperature and weather patterns of the Earth. Although climate change can occur naturally, the term is often used to describe the recent and rapid changes attributed to human activities, particularly the increase of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane in the atmosphere due to fossil fuel combustion, deforestation, industrial processes, and agricultural practices. These changes can lead to a variety of environmental impacts, including rising sea levels, more extreme weather events, shifts in ecosystems, and disruptions to food and water supplies. Climate change poses serious risks to natural and human systems, threatening biodiversity and human health and requiring coordinated global efforts for mitigation and adaptation.
