Hockey

Hockey is a team sport in which two teams compete to score goals by hitting a puck or ball into the opposing team’s net. The game is played on an ice rink in the case of ice hockey, or on a grass or artificial turf field for field hockey. Each team typically consists of skaters and a goalie in ice hockey, while in field hockey, players predominantly use curved sticks to control and pass the ball. Hockey is characterized by its fast pace, physical contact, and strategic gameplay, with an emphasis on teamwork and skill. The objective is to outscore the opponent by successfully maneuvering the puck or ball past the goalie. Hockey has various formats, including recreational, amateur, and professional levels, and is played in many countries around the world, with significant followings in places like Canada, the United States, and parts of Europe and Asia.
